Testimonials
"I wanted to thank you for taking the time to be on our panel for the Miami Country Day School parent drug education evenings. I know that giving up three evenings is a real sacrifice and it speaks to your passion for helping our parents and children understand why the use of drugs and alcohol among teenagers can have such dire consequences. You should know that we received a great deal of positive feedback from our parents. I learned something new each evening. I had no idea how widespread the use of prescription drugs is among young people. I'm grateful that we have an organization like Informed Families and I'm thankful that we have people like you who do such important work.

"Dear Peggy, I would like to extend my thanks to Informed Families and you, personally, for once again sponsoring Red Ribbon Week. Coral Gables is committed to fulfilling our part of a greater drug-free America. We are very proud that Ponce de Leon sixty-grade student Leonardo Maya's submission "Ask Me, See Me, Be Me, I'm Drug-Free" won the Red Ribbon Campaign's theme competition. It was my great pleasure to take part in the event at the Youth Center to "kick-off" this year's observance.

"Dear Christine, Thank you for coming out to inform our parents our parents and leaders of techniques we can definitely use in communicating with today’s youth! Your approach to the topic was very warm and inviting as well as the dramatization tool in which we were able to see our communication in action. I can really see how this will benefit our team... Thank you again and we will be in touch!

"The Informed Families Parent Peer Group trainings we’ve held at our school have been very inspiring and fortifying for us as parents. Sometimes we might become cynical about parenting or think that we don't want someone giving us a lot impossible rules for raising our teens, but this program has taught us new techniques and has served as a reminder that we each have a voice - and together we can prevent our children from getting involved with alcohol and drugs. I want to commend our trainer, Sharon Warner, for the fantastic job she is doing. Our goal is to train over 100 parents this year and we are already halfway there!"

“I discovered the Informed Families website when I was seeking ideas and information about Red Ribbon Week activities. After doing some research, I learned more about the Family Day Campaign and was inspired to implement a Family Day program in my school. We were thrilled by the positive results of our program; 50 parents attended, learning the connection between family dinners and prevention, and the kids were very excited about having regular family dinners.”
